Remember This! is a growing collection of documents, images, interviews, and interpretive histories developed through a collaboration between the Los Angeles labor movement and UCLA faculty, staff, and students. First launched as the Justice for Janitors History Project digital collection, the project has evolved to include the story of many unions, organizations, and organizers in southern California.

Through the UCLA Labor Studies and History Departments, we create opportunities for UCLA undergraduate and graduate students to immerse themselves in the entire research cycle. Students collect and describe primary sources, aggregate reference materials, and author original research. In the process they understand what it means to be an engaged historian, social scientist, and memory worker.

Remember This! is a public engagement project of the UCLA Institute for Research on Labor & Employment. Since 1946, the Institute has built bridges between UCLA and the communities we serve by leveraging research on critical issues facing the state of California and training the next generation of community leaders.
